By the way, to get the high resolution for this site, this photo is actually a composite of two high-res photos. Can you find the seam?

"Seems" to be eluding me. I wasn't seamless enough to find the seam. Looks like the site is a bit too close to the ground too.
    • MOTOhooligan
The seem appears to be running down the utility pole.

these type of sites that are low to the ground only cover a small area like 1/4 mile.
    • Jonathan Kramer
Nope, that's a riser conduit. Good try!

Hint: I almost also put my seams in the horizontal plane.

'bout right, there, partner! If you look at a topo of T.O. you'll see what they're trying to cover. Lots of hills in the area, as well as population pockets.

Look at the enlarged photo and see if you can spot it. There's a very subtle difference in something that'll be the give-away!

PS: By the way, the panoramic photos of the cell rocks, and the pano's of the KMLT underground transmitter site, both at my own site are all multple photos merged in PhotoShop. jlk

Thanks for sharing this with us, Jonathan! It's always nice to have a picture of what you're talking about(in the T.O. thread).

I'm just shy of working with the City for 20 years, 15 of which have been shared between cable TV engineering and wireless engineering. I've worked in 3 city halls, there, and have been involved in 8 some-odd cable TV franchise transactions...renewals, transfers, overbuilds, almost-overbuilds, etc.

Anyway, that the reason I can talk about the T.O. sites...I've worked on most of them, and have photos of most of them.

Right now I'm focusing on completing my Irvine collection now that I've work there for 3-ish years in wireless, and nearly 20 in cable TV.

Coming up when completed will be photos of the 'really, really big' Outdoor Channel satellite uplink I processed for the City of Temecula.

      Ah, the fun never stops!
