Cactus Cell

Larson-USA makes an outstanding cellular camouflage cactus. This site is operated by Cingular. The faux rock by the base of the cactus hides the cable entry sweep. See utilitycamo.com for other Larson sites.

    • RJB
I am glad you agree with me lol

Very cool- looks like this site is in the middle of nowhere so it blends in well.
    • Jonathan Kramer

Actually, while my photo does make this seem to be in the middle of nowhere, it's actually up a slight rise from an adjacent business center, and across the street from a shopping center.

The next time I'm in the area I'll hopefully take more photos when the sun is not partly blocked by clouds :cool2: , and I'll get some pull-back photos to show the site in context with the surrounding area.

Lol I was going to say that it is probably in the back of a walmart or something like that lol.

I figured that no carrier would waste money in the middle of nowhere ;)
And if it would have been in the middle of nowhere, I'm sure the tower/cactus would have been taller.
Does it look real though in real life or can you definitely tell its fake?
    • Jonathan Kramer

It's amazingly realistic. Top quality. The detail is due to the fact that Larson, the manufacturer, is a top flight builder of themed entertainment settings. Look at www.larson-usa.com for a better idea.

You really can't tell it's not real until you get up close and personal. Even then the quality of the camouflage stands up to close inspection.

In reply to Andy's query about the quality of the cactus, I've uploaded a detailed photo showing the bottom and base of the cactus. It's here in the AZ gallery. I think you'll agree that the quality is as I've reported.
