Anyone know what this is?

These were scattered all around lower manhattan by the WTC site. They are attached to traffic light poles and I have no idea what they do.

      It looks like a WiFi transceiver.

      Once again, Jonathan Kramer wins. I read in PC Mag today that there is a public wi-fi system set up in the downtown area near wall street, and well, this is right by wall street. Looks like we got it!

      Everyone's correct again! It is for wifi. We have them all over San Jose.
