Alltel Cell Tower on Whitefish Stage Road - New Picture

Note they haven't moved the fake birds despite the new panels and everything. They used to move them on a fairly regular basis.

Does anyone know what the new panels are for? EVDO is on 850MHz so that doesn't make sense. They appeared around the time Alltel added EDGE so I'm wondering if they're for EDGE. But I dunno...

So all 3 sets of panels belong to ALLTEL then? That's interesting!

As far as I know, I'm going to assume that's a yes. The top is definitely Alltel. The second is Sprint but it has connection with Alltel (network sharing, no Sprint service available here to buy). The third white panels are newer (last winter) and I really don't know what they have to do with. They came around the same time the GSM network was updated to EDGE, so they may or may not be related. I just don't know. This tower is very close to my house and I drive by it daily so I notice changes.
