You can try civil engineering (structural) first, they do the physical structure itself. If you're wanting to decide where they are located them major in electrical engineering with a university that has a speciality in telecommunications or RF (radio frequency), Univ of Wisconsin has a good school as well as Georgia Tech, in Canada I couldn't tell you but you might goggle and see what it comes up there. Good Luck!

When you say "build"...do you mean actual construction work, or would you want to be on the engineering side?
If you're wanting to do construction, get in with a cellular communications company...i don't know much about Canadian Tower companies..in fact I only know one Comm company statesides that's hiring riggers in Canada- WesTower. I'm sure google could tell you a lot more.
If you're going for the engineering side, which of course would be where you need the schooling. the degrees in communications and all related areas would be good- you could also go for a PM cert and straddle both construction and office.
