Who are the *real* factory wholesellers?

Hello everyone!

I run a distributor and importer in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay. I have been searching for suppliers for sourcing out of the United States, or factory direct for the major cell phone names for a small time now. I have come across Brightpoint, who I am currently speaking with for purchasing terms.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for major distributors and wholesellers (****not dropshippers please!!!****) for purchases for export from the United States to South America?

Hi JasonImports,

There are only a few of the "authorized" distributors in North America. I see that you found BrightPoint, but there is also another company called BrightStar, which has distribution in your area.
It is tough doing business here, as many claim to have "stock", but are in reality just brokers. The company I work for is a "stocking" distributor...I do not offer what I cannot ship today! I have relationships with a couple of manufacturers, but nothing that would indicate that I am "authorized". There are too many new companies that broker product and have no stock. Look for the length of time the company has been in business. My company has been in business for 20 years!
