I work for Best Buy Mobile, and some of my funniest stories come from some of the main dealers call center guys!I had to do an over the phone activation with T-Mobile and the guy wanted to talk about hockey instead of promptly talking about the act. It actually took this guy an hour and a half to get the phone hooked up and ready to go,and by this time the customer wanted to kill me and him!

they train us to make small talk, the longer the small talk the less the rep knows how to do his job, it's a trick to make it seem like it's not taking as long to do work in the background, but it does backfire like it did for you that bites.

Yeah, tmobileman your right. This girl that I used to sit next to till she got fired was on just about each call for around 30 mins, even if it was just to explain a error on a bill. But sometimes you can't help it, I think I posted about it, I was on a call for around an hour trying to help this guy fix his internet. I sort of miss working there

thats true! older people dont have people to talk to or listen to em so when they get someone who listens em out they feel honored. and thats nothing bad, even if one doesnt hit a sale to em doesnt make any difference at the end of the day you get blessings, what do you people say?

thanks,
Scott.
