iso iphone distributor / wholesale

I see alot of ads on ebay for a connection to a wholesale distributor but the sellers all have low feedback and I have a feeling that it is all gimmics

I do not have a federal tax id but I am looking to buy 10-20 iphones a month

can anyone point me in a good direction, currently I am getting the 16's for 450 unlocked when I buy 3 or more, this is a good price but I cannot get any more discounts for larger quantitys

I am willing to compensate anyone who can help me with this

Well, the only authorized distributor for the iPhone in the US is Cell Phones and Cell Phone Plans from AT&T, formerly Cingular Wireless . Any other source would be shady at best.

A friend of mine gets the for $450 but wont give me his contact #, I have been getting them from him, they are not stolen, and are unlocked 16gigs

Do I need a federal tax id to purchase directly from att? or apple? I am guessing that is the only way to do this

And is there a good website that explains master dealers and account represenatives, I need to find out what I need to get into contact with an apple rep, I work next to an apple store in the King of Prussia mall (PA) and they havent been much help.

AT&T will only sell them to you if you're an authorized dealer, and even then maybe not. AT&T has been trying to keep the iPhone only in corporate (AT&T owned) sales outlets. As a US based dealer who is not an AT&T dealer there is no legitimate way of you obtaining these phones.

Much thanks for the info, I am still stuck on how my current supplier gets his below at&t cost and resells for 450 if there is no legit way to get them...

He is probably smuggling them from overseas, or he has counterfeit phones that aren't really made by Apple.

Todd, I believe you answered your own question there. I would highly recommend not trusting this person and falling into the same trap that you did with your BB rep. Chinese made clones come to my mind as being one way.

wow you remember that, thats cool hah, he ended up giving me a $100 gas card because of what he told me. I am sure he would much rather give away a tax deductable gas card than loose his job when if I called his boss...

As far as the iphones I have been getting them and they are legit, not the cect ripoffs or the mizu (which hasnt been released yet).

I have no idea how he is doing it, maybe he will rip me off next time I order 20 phones =\

I guess the $200 profit per phone was too good to be true, it will probably go into the loss for that shipment he "forgets" to ship..

I will def keep this thread updated as I am sure there are many people looking for wholesale dist. and once anything shady happens to me, I will be able to prevent it happening to someone else on the boards.

Todd, as both Jay & I explained to you there is no legal way to get iPhones without going through at&t.

I am going to lock this thread out, I think it has served it's purpose.
