I was just curious, for those of you who work in the wireless industry... What kind of employee discounts do you receive? ~*Ash*~ |

I get a 15% monthly discount through my university. All I had to do was call them and ask them. I then told them my e-mail address, and I received my discount on my bill on the next billing cycle (from when I called them).

Images: 167 | We used to get a 10% discount for Cingular from the company. Then it got changed and the company issued cellphones and paid the basic bill every month. I never went along with that plan because it was always the very basic phones, and I didn't want the company to know who I was calling and when. Since I still have Cingular all the calls I get from the work cell phones are M2M, and that helps. PS: Ashley you do realize that none of us have answered your question yet....

Yeah I do. But I'm still learning some stuff. I work for one of the 5 Civilized Tribes. (Cherokee Nation) So I know they don't offer any type of discount to us... they're not that good. :-D But it's still good info. Eventually one of our wireless workers will pipe in here. ~*Ash*~ |

20% off Verizon Wireless (My Line, which is the primary, packaged with all the minutes). On cingular, 1000 anytime, 1000 N&W for $20 a month, includes free text, mobile web, and downloads (mp3, games, ringers). The cingular deal is fantastic. Verizon also has another tier of cheap plans for employees. America's choice start at $24/mo. They also still have local digitalchoice available. |

Actually, if you work for Cingular, I believe they give you a free phone. The discount is for agents of Authorized dealers, like Best Buy. You have to work in the wireless department in order to qualify for that tho. Better yet, with BBY, I also have my discount on all the stuff in the store |
