i voted. we have a quota but i dont think our office follows it strictly. i know some of the reps dont get that many acts. i usually deal with small businesses, so i get like 4-10 acts at a time in most cases. average of 3-5 acts per day during a typical month. around christmas, its alot more. we also get commission on all accessories too (very good % of it)

My target for this quarter was only 60... lol.

Right enough, I only work part time, but I've whipped that target by far

We seem to do a lot of upgrades, but with the UK market as saturated as it is, that isn't surprising!

Cheers!

Verizon varies depending on traffic at the location. Mines 79 new customers, and there are 4 reps at my location. + 24 renewals. But we're a new store, that'll go up over the next 6 months.

They don't give us any quotas at radioshack but pretty much if you're not doing at least 15 or more phones for part time or 30+ for full time you're not making commision.

Well when I worked for a dealer, it used to be 10 for part time a week, or 20 for full time a week. This included prepaids, new activations, and upgrades though.

Depends on the area, and whether you are outside or inside sales...most companies will give you a ramp up period of a couple of months to get to quota.

Your first month of working for Verizon will probably be mostly class room training.

Wow Quotas. Great Forum! Back in the day of the dinosaurs, for Western Wireless aka Alltel, our sales floor quota was 36, no data, it didn't exist, and that was in 2000. Over the years talking to corporate employees, I noticed the quota depended on the stores quota. Usaully the store manager padded everyones quota so they would hit over 100%.

I also noticed unless you achieved single digits for numerous months in a row, you were safe from termination. In the present if your a great data salesperson you are regarded highly within your store.

"Hats off" to the retail salesperson. First, you have to deal with the customer service, billing issues, payments, defective equipment, plan changes, upgrades, "I have nothing better to do than bother a rep today" with 20 more of the same in "que", then hit your new customer quota, and on top of it, hit your data quota. Raises for all of you I say!

Make it a Great Day!!!

usually around 30new 60 total and thats as a part time rep. but really it all depends on hours worked/store your in/market your in. everyones numbers are different. just in my same market there is a store that has reps with goals twice mine...not to mention some of the stores we have in TX and large metropolitan areas that have to punchout several thousand phones as a store every month.

Do you find that's motivating? Do most reps make their 30 points? what happens if you don't?

Well, considering our stores are directed to the trucking industry.. anyone who doesn't make at least the first bonus at 27 points isn't worth keeping around.

I manage 2 of these stores and each employee has 3 mos to get to quota. If they don't they are only still there untill I find a replacement.

Our inlets are within the truckstops, so our clientell walk right past us all day. It is easy to get bonuses if you are doing your job.
