According to Reuters, AT&T has created a new division tasked with bringing AT&T wireless broadband (HSDPA and ultimately LTE) to, well, everything. The new internal organization will be tasked with bringing 3G and 4G connectivity to "everything from computers and digital cameras to car-navigation and entertainment systems." Leading the new group will be Glenn Lurie, the executive who lead AT&T's negotiations with Apple for their iPhone partnership. This begs the question whether AT&T will have to open things up to make this a reality, given customers aren't going to want to pay for individual broadband accounts for each HSDPA or LTE enabled device they own. Even coverage will also be an obvious issue.
