| I think Qwest is confused as to which way they want to go. Now they are talking to AT&T about possibly selling AT&T wireless service instead of Verizon Wireless. I also went to Qwest's cell phone section and the links talking about the transition to VZW are now gone. Qwest Talking to AT&T for Wireless

| Yeah, the article mentioned that but, the article made it seem like it was iPhone was the only highlight of a relationship with AT&T. They mentioned that VZW has extensive bundling opportunities, same technology (CDMA), easier transition with VZW instead of AT&T. Honestly, given the choices, I would choose VZW if that were the case but, we'll just have to wait and see.

| I thought Qwest made an official announcement about their partnership with Verizon months ago. So now they're changing their mind? You've got to be kidding me!!! It's going to be a drama enough to transition them to Verizon. Now they want to change it and possibly go with AT&T? Qwest wireless customers won't be amused. What a

| IMHO that pretty much sums up Qwest. I had to deal with them when I lived in Oregon, never again.

| Well, I have my home phone, DSL and DirecTV all together bundled with Qwest. Qwest in terms of my service has been fine but, with this cell phone thing, they are screwing up. You can't release official statements saying an agreement with VZW has been reached and will start in the summer and post info about it on the site and then say "oh wait, we're talking to AT&T" and take the VZW transition information down off the site. I agree that current Qwest Wireless customers will not be happy. |

| I'm just happy that Sprint was able to acquire a whole bunch of Qwest's cell sites 4 years ago. It really helped beef up their coverage in the Pacific Northwest, Phoenix, Denver, etc. In fact I believe they picked up 76 sites in the Phoenix market alone from Qwest the last time I counted. |

| I will fess up and say it looks like I made an error everyone. If you look at the article, it was dated March 6 of this year. O_O I didn't even catch that until someone pointed that out. So it looks like this article is old and not new as I thought it was. I apologize everyone, if I would've cought that, I wouldn't have wasted everyone's time by posting this thread. Its strange though, the timing was just right of certain things for this to appear new. After I read the article, I checked Qwest's website and they took down the links for the information on transitioning to VZW which would make it seem like they changed their mind. Also DSLReports just posted the link to the article yesterday which is also why I thought it was new. I notified the site about the date on the article. LOL Anyway, sorry everyone, my mistake in not catching the date on the article. |

| | vzw is greedy and the deal with qwest probably came out only to the benfit of vzw and not both partys. att probably brought a nice counter offer and now everything is back to square one. also this would be a great deal for ATT. it would basically mean that they would finally have some rural licenses for much of the west and midwest |

Qwest sold off its PCS licenses initially to Sprint, and the remainder to VZW. All it has left are wireless customers, with no facilities. COtech

| Ok, since everything has been clarified in post #8, I'm going to close this thread. So make sure you check post #8 before you think of anything else. By the way, did I mention you should all go and read post #8?
