Boost has the coverage advantage over the other two so they should be able to pull away some market share from the others. By the way bambam I remember you from the early days on WA but then didn't see you around for years. Welcome back. |

That's neat... I wonder how big are the coverage areas. I would consider Boost but Sprint isn't great inside my apt. I am glad there are more options now.

Remember that Boost runs off the IDEN network and not the CDMA network.

The two phones ( Motorola c290 and Motorola W385 ) for the Boost Mobile Unlimited service are hybrid - capable of IDEN and CDMA . I have no idea y which netwok they use for home and which for roaming etc .. |

If marketed right, this definitely should/will give Metro and Cricket a run for their money and customers... I wonder what Cricket and Metro are going to do to counter that, if anything.

| Good point. Cricket and Metro are pretty strong players on regional/local levels. Will be interesting to see how they expand their footstep or increase marketing pressure to prevent churn and manage customers.

Is Boost over CDMA now? Cuz if it's still on IDEN these unlimited plans will quickly bring down IDEN to its knees. I can see all Boost customers (which are mostly kids in the ghetto) will receive as a free bonus "Unlimited All-Circuits-Are-Busy" messages.

Images: 40 | I checked out where the unlimited voice applies in my area; it's a decent sized area Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Gainesville, and Daytona (North Florida). Apparently, Boost split Florida into three regions: North, Central, and South... in contrast, MetroPCS includes Central and South (but no North Florida) coverage for its coverage area. I am a little disappointed that the whole state is not included on Boost. But the roaming rate isn't bad either:15/min.

Images: 40 | The two phones for the unlimited plan are CDMA only... no hybrid/iden included.... they still sell the Iden phones but the unlimited plan does not apply... from what i can tell, the Iden phones arent hybrids either.

Images: 293 | Thanks, it sounds like they want to get these people off the iDEN network so they stop clogging it up.
