It's very expensive too. They have great phones, but the plans are expensive. Many people talk over 1000 minutes (base plan, $80), but with m2m, many people survive on $40 Cingular or Verizon plans. I just don't see average people flocking to Helio. Very overrated just like Amp'd, though I bet Helio will keep bringing out cool phones. I love my SERO plan even more after looking at Helio plans |

You beat me to it. You are right. We will cater to only a niche crowd. The "average," person will probably not blink twice at us. We want the HoFo/SprintUsers type of enthusiast. Wish us luck. We've worked so hard and seeing us live brings a tear to my eye.....................

First of all, what is SERO? Second of all, you're correct about Helio. It will attract younger customers and people with a lot of disposable income because of the cool phones and features like Mobile MySpace. These gimmicks do not a solid business plan make and they'll have to keep on top of 'the next big thing' in order to stay solvent, and that's hard to do. All these MVNOs... when will it end?

We have a lot of expertise and talent from all over the industry and we feel confident we are in a very good place. If the hits our website have taken, along with the thousands and thousands of emails we've received from youth wanting to be notified when we launch say something, it is that the interest is there and now it is time for us to deliver. Wish us luck.

I definitely wish you luck! I think Helio will make it. I really hope someday you'll consider a $60 plan or so. Maybe 300 minutes or something. I love mobile phones, but I would never pay more than 60ish a month for one. I don't mind paying a lot for a good phone, but I'm not a big talker. Does Helio have any streaming data services? I just think listening to Sirius, etc. on Sprint is really cool.

We do have a $40 plan that has the basic 500 AT minutes with unlimited night and weekend minutes. We just don't have the mobile to mobile base to justify unlimited M2M "yet." The more expensive plans have unlimited data included... We don't have any affiliation with XM or Sirius just yet, but we are currently working on some pretty big media deals which should make the offer more enticing. I'll let you know. | |

I actually think Helio has pretty good rate plans. They do have a $40 basic plan that is ok. The $85 a month plan since it comes with Unlimited Wireless Net plus Unlimited Text, Picture, and Video messages in my opinion is pretty good. 1000 Anytime Minutes Unlimited Night and Weekend Minutes Unlimited Mobile Web Unlimited Email, Text, Picture, and Video Messaging Unlimited Access to some Video content $85 a month |
