Cingular GoPhone Gets Personal With Broader Data Services
Cingular Continues to Lead Prepaid Evolution with Industry's Most Robust Options


LAS VEGAS, April 5 /PRNewswire/ -- The most innovative and feature-rich prepaid wireless service in the industry, GoPhone ® from Cingular Wireless, has further distanced itself from its cookie-cutter competition.

In a new data offering unique to the industry, Cingular announced today at CTIA Wireless 2006 the addition of its newly enhanced Media Net to the GoPhone "Pick Your Plan" service. Unlike other offerings in the industry, GoPhone MEdia Net offers customers buckets of data which means Cingular GoPhone customers do not have to pay daily charges or per kilobyte rates for prepaid data.

The new data plan is part of a trio of expanded offerings which also includes Cingular World Connect and VoiceDial.

New GoPhone Features

GoPhone "Pick Your Plan" customers can now choose any of the following add-on services, namely:

- MEdia Net Features Package - MEdia Net allows customers to quickly
retrieve online information on their wireless phones. With just one or
two clicks on the phone's keypad, customers can gain access to news and
entertainment headlines, sports scores, financial quotes, local
weather, and more. Additionally, customers can add their favorite
categories and headlines right on their home page, and spend less time
looking for their favorite information and entertainment. Four MEdia
Net packages are available, for as low as $4.99 per month.
- Cingular World Connect - Customers receive international calling at
rates steeply discounted from non-package rates. The package cost is
$3.99 per month.
- VoiceDial - Customers can quickly, easily and conveniently access their
address book phone numbers to call friends and family, simply by
speaking their name. The package cost is $4.99 per month.

About GoPhoneGoPhone consists of two unique service offerings, "Pick Your Plan" and "Pay As You Go." These offerings provide consumers the option of a plan that comes with predictable monthly payments or a traditional prepaid solution.

Both GoPhone plans offer most of the same great features as traditional Cingular Wireless plans. Also, any Cingular phone is available for GoPhone customers, or they can choose from several pre-packaged GoPhone options. - Users can choose between four plans, ranging from $29.99 to $69.99 per month and receive up to 650 minutes per month with unlimited Nights and Weekends, and unlimited Mobile to Mobile calling to all 50 Million Cingular customers, all with no annual contract, credit check or start-up fees. Number of minutes available will vary and is based on customer's location and actual usage.

- Simply establish an automatic monthly payment with a credit card, debit card or checking account that will take place the same day every month. Payments are always the same amount.

- As consumers use their phone, minutes are deducted from the GoPhone account without having to buy a prepaid card

- Keep your unused balance every month with Rollover® Balance™, adding to the freedom and flexibility of GoPhone.
