Sprint & VoiceStream Seek Spectrum Swap August 23, 2002 news@2 direct Sprint PCS and VoiceStream Wireless file documents with the FCC requesting permission for a wireless spectrum swap. Specifically, the proposal calls for Sprint PCS to swap 10 megahertz of spectrum in each of four Florida markets in exchange for VoiceStream frequencies in New Orleans and two other Florida markets. Once the swap is complete, Sprint will own 20 megahertz of spectrum in Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Gainesville and Sarasota, Fla. VoiceStream will own between 10 and 30 megahertz in New Orleans, Ft. Pierce and Fr. Meyers, Fla., according to research from Raymond James & Associates. Sprint & VoiceStream Seek Spectrum Swap
