Default SanDisk Details New Removable Memory Format for Handsets (Moto V710)

I thought I remembered reading somewhere that the V710 (or whatever it ends up being called) would be getting a Mini-SD card slot.

Anyway, the way this press release is describing T-Flash, it sounds almost like they're shooting for a replacement for normal SIM-type cards in GSM handsets.

Yeah i thought it was going to be mini SD as well, but i guess these have an adapter that allows them to work with mini SD devices and readers etc....Could be an attractive alternative to the traditional SIM cards, but I think these are geared more for multimedia and its easier to pass the cost along to the consumer with things like this than with a SIM that is required to operate the phone. FOr SIM's there is a huge incentive for keeping them cheap.
