So they lay off people, they are doing bad financially, yet they buy another carrier. Where do they get the money from?

I don't know where the money comes from, but they sure must be hoarding it somewhere. I think they (AWS) have gone to streamline mode, lots of superswitches running huge coverage areas, guys and gals at low wages to change out cards or equipment, and not a whole lot of maintenance of the system. Sounds like they are buckling down for a fight. This move wasn't a great shock, a few folks knew something was up when they put off deploying CDMA in those U S Cellular markets, and they made excuses like "Well, we wanted to get Idaho deployed and up to speed first". Idaho, with less POP's being deployed first? Can you say SOLD!

Well, the contract will be done first quarter of next year, so, I would venture a guess through end of second quarter. It should be assimilated....er brought in to the fold by then.
