A group of art students told me that Michigan passed a law similar to the one in New York requiring use of a headset while driving. Have you heard of this? I hadn't heard a thing about it up until tonight and can't find any information on the legality outside of New York. Tell me they're mistaken... I don't need another reason to hate our governor!

i dont think they do have any sort of law against it, but if you cause an accident due to speaking on your cell phone, they take you out back and shoot you in the head like they should. it turns out that the accident i had two weeks ago was caused by someone using a cell phone and not paying attention. if she had been using an earpiece, maybe it wouldnt have happened. now my car is completely totalled, along with the girl's car behind me and the girl who hit us.... Three car accident because some moron was too cheap to purchase an earpiece, which in a way, doubles as a safety precaution. i know that i pay a lot more atttention to driving when i use an earpiece for talking. she possibly could have spared herself paying for my car and another person's by taking 30 minutes of her valuable time to go and purchase a $25 earpiece for talking. now she's being dropped by her insurance company because she cost them approx $50,000 to replace our vehicles. on top of it all, i am also suing her for negligence (just to prove a point and to be a d!ck). maybe then she will learn her lesson. just like the rest of the world will if they damage my belongings because of stupidity. |

Last I checked, Pennsylvania didn't have assigned-risk... it's not like here where you get an SR-22. (Edit: Whoops, yes they do. And amusingly, the address for the Pennsylvania Assigned Risk Plan is in Johnston, RI.)

i had a lady in a mustang ran under the back of my truck while i was at a red light and she was on a phone...F350:1 SVT:0...she denied she was on a phone until the lawyers requested a copy of her bill...GA needs a no-phone while driving law.
