More of a sales pitch than an executive summary....

The one that is published is for public eyes. There is one that is private.
Meaning the executive summary.

Most companies do not keep their executive summaries private. Look in any corporations 10-Q. Yours is just an expanded section with only a few sentences, if even discussing current operations.

I asked you a question in another forum, which I have not been able to access.

The question was what materials you propose to use for THz amplifiers and chipsets. Silicon MOSFET and BiPolar chips only reach the low GHz range. I am uncertain if GaAs devices will reach THz frequencies.

Therefore, what do you propose to use?

Unfortunatley I am bound by a NDA and at this time cannot disclose details at that level. In a couple months you will be able to ask and recieve a White Paper that will answer any technical questions you may have.

I hope you understand.

I understand that this is basically vaporware until it gets a practical, real-world trial.

Not exactly. There already exists hardware and software to prove out any trials. There are already a few Telecom Concerns that already are part of it. But again we go back to NDA's and breach's. In 60 days or less there will be a public press release that will remove all doubt.

ATT does not always have to hold the cards. Most of the designs came from retired or forced out employees from the majors. I guess you can call it payback!

I asked a reasonable question concerning basic componentry. These componenst must be available today in significant quantities to provide for economies of scale to enable Gaiacomm to build an infrastructure for THz communication. For these components to be available and affordable, current production facilities must be able to produce them with reasonable yields. If a new fab is required to produce these devices, you are facing a significant time delay in permitting and building the fab, installing tools, sorting out a new process, and getting yields to acceptable levels.

This is a major effort for any new semiconductor material. Even best efforts would require several years to get production at moderate yields if your needs only require an improvment of existing technologies. If, on the other hand, you need devices that only exist in R&D today, then the time frame will be much longer.

There are many unmentioned companies that have already been experimenting with new materials based on our critreia and design specs.

You are correct with your timeframes and we have gained some leadtime due to re-design and re-tooling efforts. Its interesting we have found that when there is a new technology the engineers seem to work like fresh new college students with new energy. The new 4G technology will not have to wait for 10 years because of the new influx of fresh new ideas, fresh new processes, and other time and cost saving methods and techniques to vastly improve the overall plan.

We are running the company by engineers not mules!

Default Re: Gaiacomm's Wireless Executive Summary

Gaiacomm International poll questions from Telecom Investors!

1. What is the significance of this technology, when compared to existing technologies?

Current technology of 2.5G does not provide for stability of signal, e.g., dropped calls, static, attenuation. Within large metropolitan areas, buildings act as shields to signals, creating “dead zones” wherein no signal is available. Within rural settings, characterized by dense trees and/or mountainous terrain, signals are unavailable. Technology has enabled digitalization of images, etc., which cannot be rapidly transmitted to provide effect of streaming. Emergency and other vital services are hampered by the instability and slowness of the signal.

3G technology is only beginning to emerge, but does not offer the drastic increase of stability and quickness to match the applications requiring signal delivery. An example would be the capability to utilize the Internet for emails and portal browsing –-- too slow in a mobile environment. Wireless applications requiring speed and reliability are hampered in development due to lack of a robust delivery platform.

2. What are the potential applications for this technology? Do you see your work leading to commercial applications, and when (Year) might that occur?

Potential applications are enormous, although to begin the introduction of a 4G technology as we propose, we have focused upon the markets of:
a) business-to-business provider of transmission as a “private network” servicing the growing needs of carriers operating as MVNO-s,
b) provider-of-service to metropolitan areas where fiber rings are located, enabling access points to provide ultra-high speed wireless access from the ring to neighboring buildings (businesses) located within 15 miles of the ring. Currently, business must either acquire right-of-way from the ring to the receiving building, or pay an exorbitant amount to local phone companies for access. Alternatives are not available to business.

As we look ahead, our technology will provide a platform upon which wireless applications will be launched. Gaiacomm International has prepared a booklet, “17 Business Applications of TeraHertz-based Technology”.

The general areas are:

Imaging & Resolution Anti-Terrorism Measures
Law Enforcement Meteorology – Atmospheric Monitoring
Medical and Dental Imaging Prostheses Access Points
Communications Global Wireless Communications
Encryption and Compression Security Aviation
Military Applications Naval Application: Submarine Communications (Stealth)
Weapons Searches: Personnel detection within Caverns Weapons: Destructive Delivery as Tactical Offensive

3. What are the major challenges in the way of this technology evolving either in the marketplace or toward the marketplace? How is your company addressing these challenges?

The two (2) major challenges facing any emerging technology company, especially like Gaiacomm International that seeks introduction of a new technology as opposed to a re-engineered existing technology, are: funding and credibility (equal challenges).

After years of free-spending and massive speculation in the marketplace for new technologies, many developments were never brought to fruition. The risk averseness of the markets, particularly venture funding groups, peaked after September 11, 2001. With mounting losses from investments in technology, coupled with the threat of terrorism, technology companies seeking “new” technology development have been shunned. Approaches that are more conservative depend upon availability of historical data in order to project ROI and other measures of returns to mitigate the risks of investment. With our technology, there is no historical data other than 2.5G and limited 3G prospects. Our technology is not based upon the platform of 2.5G and 3G.

Significant investments have already been made within current technologies, and returns on investments have not been sufficient to recoup funds expended. It raises the age-old question of “do we invest to upgrade our stagecoach OR invest to bring out the automobile?”

Gaiacomm International equates 2.5G and 3G technology with the stagecoach, and its proposed 4G technology with the automobile. The mindsets do not readily provide credibility for technologies that would likely create obsolescence within academia and high levels within corporate America.

Gaiacomm International is addressing these and other obstacles by focusing upon the benefits -– the potential applications –- that can vastly expand given the accessibility of the Gaiacomm technology.

It also seeks to point out the pitfalls and shortcomings of existing technology to heighten the awareness of investment in new technology versus re-engineering older technology.

4. Can you also include a list of benefits and drivers of this technology over competing technologies?

Basic benefits include increased speed of signal, reliability of signal, and accessibility of the signal to any point on planet Earth.

Collateral benefits will be derived when our 4G technology becomes the platform the creative geniuses of mankind use to develop wireless applications that require a communications element.

We would refer any reader to our booklet “17 Business Applications of TeraHertz-based Technology”. One success driver will be the demand for wireless services and applications that are unavailable due to the lack of a delivery platform for communications.

5. What are some of the other key technologies and products that you have planned to develop in the future?

Gaiacomm International is especially interested in the development of imaging related products for breast cancer detection. This will be a lengthy process as government regulations and approvals will be required, notably from the FDA. Also within the Imaging product line is a product to scan vessels bringing goods into U.S. Ports for possession of hostile cargoes supporting terrorism. The Department of Homeland Security has declared that U.S. Ports are vulnerable to terrorism activity, and such attacks if carried out successfully, would have a major material negative impact on delivery of goods and services to the U.S. economy.

The main goal of the company is to complete a network infrastructure enabling true global communications, to launch a Decade of Peace.

We are willing to challenge ATT or Verizon to disprove the 4G wireless technology and we challenge ATT or Verizon to disclose the truth of 2G, 3G and other so-called telecomunications protocol that have been sold to the ratepayer. After all some of us designed it! But I forgot we no longer work for them anymore and our contracts and nda's no longer applies. Free Agents I think they call us. Why didn't they listen to us when we had these new designs. I remember it did not fit the current business plan for the year.

So now what do we do with all of this knowledge? We come from Bell Labs, ATT, Verizon, Cable and Wireless, Los Alamos, SBC, and so many others that just are too voluminous to mention. I guess we form a new company!

The consumer is the driving force behind all markets and profits no matter what the product or service is. There is a measurable amount of revenue generated from exchange of goods, technology and services between companies and other users but the end result is the consumer is the end result that makes or breaks a company. New technologies have always been viewed with skepticism and uncertainty because of unforeseen obstacles or from the lack of confidence from the supplier of the goods or service. The end result is for companies with product to be able to not only convince financial underwriters but legislatures and regulators at all levels that the product or service is viable, has technical merit and can guarantee a fare price and return on investment with a good promise of linear growth towards adding more profits to the bottom line.

The current telecom market is now saturated with regulations, technology peaks, consumer confusion and unsatisfied, low returns, high costs, which includes to the ratepayer, surcharge taxes form all sides, increased competition, frequency bands controlled by federal agencies with no new relief coupled by rising costs in ownership, consolidation of companies into takeovers, thinned out networks and numerous technology fixes that ad more equipment to the field, lack of use of existing fiber rings, other transmission hardware outdated such as copper and failing and increasing costs of satellites and launch capabilities. Telecom companies offering service that is not geared to spec. which means that most services offered are slightly increased in performance but not without a high price. Current wireless systems are now over stated and require constant retrofits. Speeds and reliability of many services are not what the consumer demands or even promised by the telecom industry that hides behind numbers, poorly designed technology and dates that extend new developments out by many years which seems to be the norm within the industry which in reality sends mixed messages to investors and consumers who are relying on honest assessments of the technology at hand.

Gaiacomm or Don Lapre or whoever you are:

you make very nice sounding posts reminiscient of infomercials selling Carlton Sheets on late night TV. Lots of big words, but no proof of anything. When you have some real data and answers to the questions posed, let us know. Until then, I sit back and say "another scam planner hard at work"

cheers!

Thz technology...yeah, right. the answer to all our issues. and I think Martha Stewart had some good investment tips....
