Wow. So many people in North Korea, yet only 40 towers and 1000 users. I guess, given those numbers, the ban doesn't seem so bad. That's not so much a "market" as it is a "beta test", anyway.

North Korea is well for taking actions that are contradictory. This week the North and South made joint announcement of a major industrial park just north of the DMZ. Then the North bans cell phones. Several years ago, the North opened another big industrial zone to allow South Korean businesses to set up operations in the North. That same week, the North sent a team of heavily armed commandos into the South. |
