| Depending on the type of phone, you can "tether" to your laptop and connect to the Internet. The service is not "free", in that it will use minutes if you are using it during peak rate times. According to Alltel technical support, if you use over a certain amount of bandwidth, you will get billed substantially for the actual data use. I have no idea how much bandwidth is allowed. I have used it with both my Razr and now my BlackBerry without any problems, but it has been very limited. Alltel now has a software download site, software.alltel.com where you can get the necessary software. Use cautiously |
