First off, I am probably in the wrong forum asking questions and discussing this using the wrong terms. Sorry. I've wondered what to call them so if I'm using the wrong term, lemme know? I call these entities 'SMS Autoresponders': you send a properly coded message, you get back information such as weather, stock prices, jokes, etc. Google offers limited SMS search results: text help to 466453 ('Google' using the letters above the keypad numbers). 4-Info offers limited SMS responses: text help to 46636 ('4 Info'). 411SMS offers limited SMS responses: text help to 87411. Anyone know of others? Is there an index somewhere on the internet? What is the proper term for these services? |
