Hey, i use a LG3200 for internet service. Currently i connect to the internet at nights using the national access. Is there settings i can change to make the connection faster? It is not a bad connection, i would just like it to be faster. Are the setting important on the phone or on my pc? Also, even though i dont subscribe to national access, and just have america's choice plan, i'll only be charged for minutes of use....right? Thanks for any help someone can give me

make sure you are connecting to NationalAccess and not QCN (14kbps)... What number does you dial and what format for your password? You may also want to make sure your connection speed from your phone to your laptop is as fast as you can support.

I got the verizon wireless software so it set the connection up automatically. It dials #777. I am using the NationalAccess connection, and i set the port speeds as high as they could go. I just didn't know if there were any other methods to get a faster connection. There is a setting on my phone that says "Data in always" or "Data in once". Do i want to enable either one of these? Will that help? Thanks Quote:

have you done a speed check? I'm getting 33k to 56k with my VX7000 and #777NA. I think that is about the best one can hope for, in spite of VZWs claims, until you hit EVDO. |

those two settings are referring to incoming data connections, such as receiving a fax

You also need a different modem initialization string to differentiate between QCN and NA.
