Verizon Coverage on Nevada Test Site?

I'm most likely going to be traveling to the Nevada Test Site soon for about three weeks. Can anyone tell me what the Verizon coverage is like on site? Is there any coverage out there at all?

Don't know about the Test Site itself, but you might try contacting CC Communications of Fallon, NV. They own alot of the 800mghz in rural Nevada and would probably have the answer.
By the way, bring a tri mode because alot of the coverage is probably analog. CCC could tell you more about that.

What is "the Nevada Test Site"? Bring a trimode phone. And a car charger just in case.

Just northwest of Vegas (Vzw map shows most of it covered).

I agree, since Verizon has extensive roaming agreements in Nevada that cover nearly the whole state I'd imagine there would be coverage in the general area, but as eds suggested, you might want to contact CC Communications to get more exact coverage information. I'd also follow everyone else's advice to take a tri-mode phone with you.

Thanks everyone. I'll report back after my trip on my coverage. Don't know when the contract announcement will be made that will send me on this trip, but hopefully it will be soon. I've got my trimode phone (AC1) and I'll be sure to remember my lead underwear as Jones mentioned above!

There is quite a bit of roaming in parts of NV on AC1, and depending on exactly what the coverage locator looks like in the area of the test site, you might want to consider switching to AC2 since it includes the whole state for free basically.
