Does anyone know where to find a list of Verizon towers in Portland, OR...specifically the SE side towards Gresham. I'm just curious how far away the tower is that I'm usually being picked up by. I know there must be a way somehow or if anyone in this area knows I would be greatly interested to hear about it. Thanks. |

1. Put your phone in 'debug' mode and DF the site. 2. Look at: http://www.berkana.com/tower.php3 (by no means complete) 3. Ask at the nearest Verizon store. 4. Call your city's building department. | |

if u have a gps find out your coordinates and go to the FCC website. entering your lat and long will/should show you the nearest towers and who their registered with e.g. vzw, cw, sprint etc

...but not all towers are registered with the FCC, so this might/might not be of a lot of help.

FCC site may not be up to date, but they are required to register.

Actually according to some sources I've read around the net most sites do not require FCC registration if they are 1900 Mhz PCS sites.

I think it has to do with their location and height above sea level. If the tower falls under a certain height registration is not required. There are a number of other factors that also sometimes require registration.

height slope and where it is at Most PCS towers are in metros and they meet height and slope requirements since many towers that do just PCS are monopoles. |

I remember seeing one Sprint tower that was registered with the FCC but later cancelled because it passed the slope calculation.

I don't think that all Cellular antennas are registered with the FCC, because most VZW owned sites around here are NOT registered with the FCC/on their website.
