This is great news! Most of that area was analog of unusable digital signals when I was there a few months ago.

As of last Tuesdays Alltel conference call, Caliente is waiting for microwave backhaul to the US 50 backhaul system. Once this is completed the site will be functional after the usual 911 & other site turn-up testing by the area tech. Curt Nevada Microwave & Tower |

That must have been quite a job...Caliente to Hwy 50 is over 100 miles! Is there ubiquitous cell coverage from Caliente to any other cities? i.e., north to Ely, east to Cedar City, south to Las Vegas? Thanks for your updates. |
