Sprint Enhances Network, Expands Coverage Throughout Idaho
Sprint Customers Benefit: New Cell Sites Added in Idaho and Expanded Mobile Broadband Coverage

BOISE, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 3, 2008--Sprint (NYSE:S) customers in Idaho can now do more with wireless and enjoy the benefits of speed from even more places in the state. During 2007 and early 2008, Sprint added 3 new cell sites throughout Idaho and upgraded 76 existing sites to faster EV-DO Rev. A technology in the greater Boise Area. Additionally, Sprint enhanced coverage for customers statewide by upgrading many existing cell sites on the Nextel National Network and Nationwide Sprint Network.

Sprint customers in Idaho can take advantage of recent network enhancements throughout the following areas:

Boise International Airport
Boise's Downtown Business District
Cascade
McCall
Prison (South of Boise)

In addition, customers can now experience the Sprint Mobile Broadband Network throughout the Boise Area. Sprint Mobile Broadband with EV-DO (Evolution-Data Optimized) Revision (Rev.) A technology allows customers to send and receive e-mail with large file attachments, access the Internet in seconds and enjoy streaming video and other real-time applications, as well as location-based solutions, on-the-go.

"Sprint is constantly working to enhance and expand its networks throughout Idaho and the country," said Kirk Dawson, area vice president for Pacific Northwest. "Sprint offers customers the largest voice calling area, the largest mobile broadband network, the world's fastest push-to-talk network and the largest push-to-talk community. This gives our customers the ability and tools they need to stay in touch with their family, friends and business associates."

Nationally during 2007, Sprint added more than 4,000 cell sites to the Nationwide Sprint Network and Nextel National Network.

Didn't they just have one for Arizona a few weeks ago? Or maybe that was for Phoenix only? I doubt they'll do one for Southern AZ.

Tucson and Phoenix are very well covered - and I-19 will soon be covered all the way to the Mexican border. They told me Sierra Vista/Douglas/Bisbee would be covered by the end of this quarter, but I think that was just to shut me up. Alltel has EVDO in Sierra Vista now, and it's really not that big of a deal to me but given the limitations on broadband options here Sprint could probably do very well with aircards in this area. - sheureka

Does anyone know where I can find a map of Sprint's tower locations. I am familiar with their coverage area maps and "new" and "comming soon" tower maps; but I have yet find a map showing their current tower locations.

You have to be an employee to see that map. No carrier makes that information public.

Boise still needs alot of work I was there and had sprint and was right on the Interstate where it was not good dropped a few calls. IMO
