Hi I am just about to buy a new phone in auatralia. I am planning to move to Phoenix maybe next april. I am thinking about buying a Motorola Razr....maybe V3i or V3xx. Can I walk into the us with this phone and connect to a plan, I was told years ago that a GSM phone was not the way to go. The v3i is...GPRS, GSM 1800, GSM 1900, GSM 850, GSM 900 and the v3xx is 3G. Should I buy a cheapie now and wait? Advice would be appriciated |

As I recall the V3i is not a great phone. The V3XX is much better. If you are upgrading a phone in Australia, just make sure it is quadband so you can use it in the US.
