Default Cell Towers

Does anyone know of any cell towers in New Mexico or southern Colorado, particularly in the four corners area? Any information would help. Thanks

There are quite a few in the area. To find a cell site on the web, visit the links at the Cell Site Finder web site. Most of Verizon's are listed and a few of Sprint's can be found. The carrier with the largest number of sites listed in the area, Cellular One of NE Arizona (aka 4cornerswireless.com) has a PDF Tower Map, but has no sites in Colorado.

Are you looking for the best coverage in the area? Depending on where you travel, Alltel, Sprint, Verizon and 4Corners Wireless each have strengths & weaknesses in the area.

4cornerswireless is GSM, and there are GSM sites throughout the area, many of which are on Alltel's 800 MHz sites. However, unless you actually travel on to the Navajo reservation, CDMA is dominant from Verizon, Alltel and Sprint. Most of T-Mobile & AT&T's service is provided from roaming carriers.
