Default New sites in Elko, Nevada

FYI,
Alltel has completed 2 new sites in the Elko/Spring Creek areas. I haven't been out to them yet for any repairs or optimizations. I'm sure it'll be soon though. I'll send some new site photos when I get out there again, they'll be posted in the "Cell Sites" (Nevada) section.

There are to be more to come soon, I heard 4 more but that so far is unconfirmed.

Alltel is however getting ready for the EV-DO microwave backhaul project which serves to increase capacity for the upcoming EV-DO traffic for I-80.

Is the the EV-DO upgrade going to be Rev 0 or Rev A? Also, will it
only be along I-80, or will it extend throughout the state?

I have a GSM phone now, and they're starting to put up GSM
outside the corridor areas, but I was thinking of Sprint just so I can
have access to WW/Alltel when roaming in rural Nevada and Utah.
So any thoughts on the areas outside the I-80 corridor would be nice.

Thanks, Mike

Right now, it is slated for the I-80 to Utah. US 50 is not involved yet,
portions of US 395 & US 95 is slated later in the year. But who knows if Alltel sells.

Not sure about the Rev0 /A.
I'll post when I find out.
