Hi everybody, Long time reader, but first time poster. Anyway, i just got a new job located on the ortega highway in san juan capistrano. The only problem is that it seems to be a black hole for cellular coverage. I've tried att tdma, t-mobile/cingular, and sprint with no luck. Verizon is the only provider that works, but i was wondering if any other providers have plans for this area since i'm not too crazy about their plans, or phones (although the choices are getting better). On sprint's coverage map, it looks as if the ortega highway is a planned expansion, but does anyone know about the status. I would prefer sprint, since they work for me pretty much everywhere else i've been, but if i have to wait years then it's just not worth it. Thanks for any info |

Yes Sprint did have plans to cover Ortega Hwy but unfortunately it all fell apart when several of their sites got rejected by the local governments. Most notably on the Riverside County side. They also have scaled back some of their future build out plans and Ortega Hwy is now on that list. So you may have to stick with Verizon.
