Why can't I connect to Internet thru ATT Wireless??

I have Motorola V60i with ATT Wireless.
I purchased USB data kit 98326 to use it to connect to internet on the road.
Everything is installed correctly. My ISP is AOL.
AOL cannot initialize the modem; It seems like a phone is trying to call for a split second, then it fails.
I tried dial-up networking thru Internet Explorer....same result!

Funny thing is that I then tried my wife's Motorola V66 with T-Mobile, using the same data kit. It connects to Internet like a champ.
Why is this happening to me?? What am I doing wrong??

masterjoe, I do not think you are doing anything wrong. I believe you need to pay an additional fee to connect with ATT. Call ATT and see what you need to. Each phone company is different with data & internet usage.

No he isn't doing anything wrong.

AT&T does not support CSD and that is what you need to have in
order to dial your ISP.

All you can do is pay for the data package and use ATT as your ISP,
but ATT costs th emost of any provider I have seen.
