I have been using Verizon for a while. But I really interested on Sprint PCS vision plan. A lot of cool stuff that Verizon doesn't offer. But I am a man lived on SMS. All my friends are crazy about the SM. Currently, I can use Verizon to send SM to my friends in ATT and Tmobile. I read the PCS plan. It just said that you can send/rece message&email to/from the other PCS vision user. It didn't say that I can send SM to other provider such as T mobile. Anyone has experience on it? Thanks for your any information. Alertsman. |

Yes you can. I have sent messages to AT&T and Cingular users. You do have to connect to the web in order to do it though. Or you can send messages from the Sprint web site to any other carriers phones.

Thank you larry. Does that mean, you can only SM others when you are in PCS network? If you roam to other provider's network, you can't SM people. Because I don't think you can connect to PCS web in Verizon or T mobile's network. And if you can suggest a good phone for both SM and web, it will be perfect. A lot of fancy phone showed in PCS website just have the feature receiving text message but it didn't say that it can send SM too. So I assume they can not. I hope my assumption is not correct. jjdu4, Yes I got a new phone. The Samsung A500. AlertsGeek, Yes you have to be on Sprint's network (or their affiliates) to send text messages. Most of Sprint's current phones are not two way text messaging capable except for a few like the Kyocera 2345 and the new Nokia 3585 which should be coming out soon. Eventually they will implement true SMS. You can send and receive messages but you have to connect to the web to do it or log into Sprintpcs.com. |
