I just joined the sprint PCS $30 300 anytime minute, unlimited N/W plan. I have several questions about roaming: If I am travelling in another state, let's say Alabama and I am within the same PCS network, will I be charged a roaming fee if I make a call while I am in Alabama? Will I be charged a long distance fee? Is there any differences if I make a call to a local phone number of Alabama or my home service area(btw, is 'home service area' defined as the area I live in)? Thanks a lot! Yanxin |

This all depends on what plan your one really. Sprint has both "nation wide plans" and "area wide plans". With the nation wide plans, as long as you remain on the sprint pcs network, you can make and recieve calls without roaming. If your on the area wide plan then your restricted to your local calling area, and if your leave that area regardless if your on sprints network or not, you'll be charged a travel rate of .50/min. Now to get back to your main question, i believe the $30.00 300anytime, unlimited nw is a nationwide plan..so as long as you stay on the sprint network you will no be charged roaming or ld. Just keep in mind your nw times start from the time zone that your in at the time...so if you live in NY and have a NYnumber, but are in LA...then your nw times start at 9pm LA time. |
