This is my unscientific, unbiased observations of cell phone users: I travel alot in the metro Los Angeles area in my sales job. I come across people in all walks of life; men and women, truck drivers to office workers. There seems to be a common thread. a) Women (younger types) tend to use T-Mobile. They prefer T-Mobile because of their low pricing plans and stylish phones. T-Mobile phones are really fashionable and that's why women like it. b) Men (business types) tend to use Sprint. Sprint is pretty reliable in L.A. and has that Vision "gadget" thing going. The flashy phones goes hand-in-hand with men's taste in expensive cars. What do you think? |

The phones are boring. The reliability is excellent! Bottom: Verizon users are gender neutral...not half & half...unless you're in West L.A.? |

LOL... Honestly, I think it's more of a handset, not carrier, preference. Perhaps if you said, "Girls prefer small Nokias... vs. Men w/ Motorolas" or something along those lines, you may have a point...

The inexpensive Nokia's with the changeable faceplates are very popular with the young female crowds. Again, at the local malls I do see lots of girls eyeing the colorful and fashionable faceplates for Nokias.

However, I did notice that you have 227 posts and ZaphodB has 501 posts. Do you guys have a social life? This user forum should not be a substitute for having a real life. Maybe you (ScandaLex) should go out on a date with ZaphodB? A movie and dinner always works for me. I am happy with my service provider; they havent failed me yet. However, I did notice that you have 227 posts and ZaphodB has 501 posts. Do you guys have a social life? This user forum should not be a substitute for having a real life. The number of post have nothing to do with whether either of us has a life or not; but I thank you for taking the time to be concerned about it. Secondly, does YOU posting here mean you may or may not have a life either? Maybe you (ScandaLex) should go out on a date with ZaphodB? A movie and dinner always works for me. Considering I have someone in my life, I dont see the need to go out to a movie or dinner with Zap. Maybe YOU can ask Zap out! One more thought; the top TEN (10) Posters are: 2549 TNDan21 2451 Larry 2318 Bobolito 2280 Jack 2210 Aiwapro 2049 KevinJames 1460 IdiOTeQnoLogY 1150 Matt 809 Airb330 749 Cryogenic I doubt my two hundred something post puts me in the no life category. (thinking) You'll say they dont have a life either! |

HAHAHA omg i have over 300 post I guess I am a member of the "loser with no life" club mind if i tag along with you (scandalex) and zaphodb? Ill be that annoying third wheel. In response....some people reply more than others because they may have more knowledge hence more to say. I dunno about others but I personally dont stay in front of a computer all day just clued to this site. I am frequently on the computer doing other stuff since i am about to get my dual degree in rocket science. I check this site when i procrastinate or take little 2 minute breaks. I wonder what petnuke thinks of the people with 2000+ post he..he | |

I really think people should get out of their house more. There is no substitute for direct face-to-face contact. For ScandaLex: I was just having a little fun with you. I read many of your postings and know that you put some thought into those comments. P.S.: I am also married but if you are a real "hot chick", send me an e-mail. I do fool around occassionally...(Leykis 101 dating tip: Never spend more than $40 on a date) |

Well, let's see here. I think if I went out on a date with ScandaLex, my wife would kill her and emasculate me. Next, we have the social life. Yes, I have one. I tend to post about 4 or 5 messages per day here on average. I think that's not unreasonable. How do you know I don't have a job where I can do so? One of the great things about the Internet is the knowledge-sharing - the FREE knowledge-sharing, that is - that it facilitates. It doesn't work unless people share their knowledge. I have some knowledge about wireless phones, so I share it, thus making it possible for YOU to come look it up. You've no call to make such statements, and your doing so only reflects badly on you.

Considering that all of us would even take time to post, read or learn about mobile phones, it can be argued none of us has a life. But I too agree with the previous post... I didn't know such a community even existed. But I do find the technology fascinating, and I enjoy reading others opinions and of their experiences with their phones. Having said that, c'mon people! We're a community. Let's all holds, gather in a circle and sing Cumbaya. |

You're correct, WirelessAdvisor is a great forum to share information about cell technology. That's the only reason we subscribe to it. We love cell phones. We love to talk. Without the cell phone, some of us would only talk to the walls in our house. |

Well, a spokesvamp for T-Mobile is Catherine Zeta-Jones. The Sprint's spokesdude is that guy in an overcoat, fishy smirk. I think the gender preferences should the other way. Again, unless you're in West L.A...

I'm not married, have a full-time job and go to college part-time. In my downtime at work, I read/post on the WA as it helps pass the time. PS: Leykis is a moron...
