I was wondering what phones one is able to send text messages with on Sprinticon. On the Sprinticon Website, it says you can only receive them, but it seems silly to me that they don't even let you have a pay-per-message sort of thing. But maybe I am mistaken.

I can both send and receive from the web site. You can send to customers from other carriers as well. I've never tried to send from my handset.

    Here's one for you...

My g/f has Sprinticon PCS (LG 1010) and I have T-Mobileicon... My friend has Sprinticon (Samsung N400) and we bounce SMS back and forth all day... If I send *anything* to her, she gets "00010210230490345802945021384591823841-2384......" and that's it, plus I don't see an option to send msgs on her phone.. I was wondering why that is and if anyone has any ideas? I understand if she can't send, but why can't she receive? Does she have to have Vision just to receive SMS?

With my non-Vision Kyocera 2255 I can receive text messages fine but have to use the wireless web service to access (extra fee) which I currently don't have added on my plan. I've never attempted to send any except thru the web site which is free.

By the way 714tmobile, the LG 1010 is known to be possibly the worst Sprinticon phone of them all.

uhhh... guys, hate to break some bubbles here... but Sprinticon has quite a few phones which are not TWO-WAY sms (or text message) capable. the lg 1010 would be one of those models, along with many of their other models. check your manufacturers website for specifics per model, or call Sprinticon customer care and ask. general rule of thumb: if you cant find a "send message" link of some sort... odds are your phone doesnt have that capability. carriers make money off sms, so it would be easy to find!

The new Nokia 3585 will be two-way SMS capable. The Kyocera 2345 should be as well.
