Default last ditch effort...

(attn all: sorry... i pushed the wrong button, and thought i was REPLYING to karmannghia and inadvertantly created a new post... sorry...)

karmannghia--

i'm sorry that your dealing with spcs haven't been great... i wanted to try to help you one with one last-ditch effort that you can try with retention... give them the ultimatium... it's what i had to do to get everything done with... i was dealing with them for over 2 weeks... the rep that i had originally delt with was playing phone tag with me... we never reached each other at the perfect times, even though i told her to call at specific times...

i called them and told them what happened... i was offered this; i'd really like it... i've called a billion times and have spoken to many representatives (cite your log in ID's, names, call centers)... and tell them that they've told you that you can't have what you want... tell them that you really would like to take care of things with this last call... and you really hope that the representative understands your frustration that what you were offered is no longer available to you...

ask the representative to try to make the plan for you... and if he/she can't, tell him to talk to his supervisor... and tell him/her that another rep was able to do it... and you'd really like it if he asked his sup. to try to make the plan because he/she may have more power in creating plans...

and it's quite simple, karmannghia... if they can't do it... and you're not satisfied with what they can offer you... i'm sorry to say it, but leave... i know that it's tough...

if you've purchased some phones recently, tell them that you spent tons of money on them...

i spent 2x$200 on 2 A500's, 1x$300 on 1 hitachi... and i still need to get one more vision phone...

our family has 4 lines... and 3/4 new vision phones... i told them that i really want to be your loyal customer... literally, i gave them all my business... i don't have a land-line anymore... i'm totally wireless... i told them that i want to rely on them and that i really want a good deal... or else there'd be no point in me going wireless... i didn't want to worry about going over with anytime/n&w minutes...

they took care of me... seriously... i assume that it might be more difficult now since lots of their power has been taken away (eg., only 180 addl. anytime, only 3000 at 8pm, etc.), but i'm certain that they can take care of you in other ways...

you've been a loyal customer and there are definite better offers out there (most notably, from cellular one in santa cruz)...

cellone santa cruz now has...

1.5x the anytime minutes (300 becomes 450, etc.)
unlimited nights and weekends from 7pm-8am*
unlimited mobile to mobile*
unlimited inoming calls
long distance and roaming
between $35-40/month

(items with an astrisk are only available within the home area: santa cruz and mendocino counties).

karmannghia, best of luck... please let me know if you need any assistance... i'll try to give you the best knowledge i have... i kno it's not right when you receive posts that are quite obscene, but sometimes people just waste their time (check out my posts on alt.cellular.gsm.carriers.voicestream regarding the comments made by T-Mobile employees about the rumored cingular acquisition)...
