It's actually the T61c. Verizonicon doesn't currently sell the phone in their corporate stores but some resellers have them. I bought mine at a Radio Shack in Albany, Oregon. I took it back after a few days simply because I wanted the V60i instead. But while I had it, it was great. I didn't have it long enough to really gauge the batteryicon life but I will say the reception was better than my Nokia 3285(not saying much) and my wife's Samsung SCH-A310. The audio quality is better than my Moto. What I liked best was that the antenna was flush with the body of the phone, I constantly worry about the antenna with my Moto. If you're looking into finding one, call the local Radio Shacks.

    thanks for the info...

i have a chance to get one for basically free with like $60 dollars back in cash and $75 dollars of free accessories for free with signing up. I called the local Verizonicon store...and they didn't recommend it (is that only because they don't sell it)???

He said it never passed their strict standards testing....so they won't sell it in the Verizonicon store.

I can also get the Samsung sch-300 too with an extra batteryicon and some other goodies.

    any suggestions?

If it didn't pass their testing, they wouldn't have branded it in the first place. That's poor business to let a reseller sell a crap phone that failed their testing for use on their network. With that in mind the guy in the store was wrong. I assume you're referring to the Samsung SCH-A310. My wife has that phone and likes it but the battery life is a bit lacking(hence why they'll give you an extra battery). Other than that it's pretty good. The SE T61c is a good phone. Go with it and save some money. If it doesn't work out for you, you have 15 days to return it and get the Samsung.
