A friend of mine has Verizon (using an older Ericsson 1228c) and for some reason, I can send her SMS all day long w/out a problem, but she cannot send them to me all the time. Sometimes they go through, sometimes they don't. The phone says, "Message will be sent" and the status is always "Sending..." She has called Verizon and they are clueless to it, and I'm wondering if it's not the phone itself. Anyone had any experience sending text messages w/ Verizon to other providers? I recv SMS from AT&T and Sprint all the time, so I think i've got it pretty much narrowed down to Verizon and/or receiving SMS from Verizon to T-Mobile. Any assistance is as always appreciated. Yes, Verizon and T-Mobile do not play well. I have been able to do it between my two phones, but sometimes it doesn't work between a friend's Verizon phone and my T-Mobile phone. So I bought a Verizon phone |

Its simply the SMS gateway between Verizon and T-Mobile (voicestream). We've always had issues where they experience packet loss of SMS msgs. Just somthing u will have to live with till T-Mobile/Verizon upgrades thier systems. also, to confirm.... NO MYVZW account is needed. Thats just simply a website used to establish a profile to be used w/ your mobile web service. The site no longer exists by the way as we completed a mass migration just recently w/ MSN. please feel free to ask me any questions about these. |
