Which do you prefer Flip phone or triangle phone like Nokia model? Are Flip phone in fashion? Than a triangle phone? Or the other way around? What do you think?

Well you do like posing questions, don't you! Different people use the term 'flip phone' differently. To me, a flip phone is one that has a simple 'cover' over the keys - like the Ericsson T28W, or the Nokia 6162. This does not cover the display, just the keys. One very subtle benefit of this (other than the obvious one of protecting the keys from accidental pressing) is that the keys can be made more functional and visually usable. I currently own the 6162 (go here to see - Nokia 6162 ). The keys are stark black, with vivid white lettering - very easy to see. I recently owned (and returned) a non-flip phone, which had very sexy looking silver keys with subtle white lettering. Fine, except that when you 'use' the phone, the backlighting came on and made the letters / numbers unreadable - tough when you are trying to enter hundreds of names/numbers!. The problem is that if the keypad is visible, the manufacturer feels compelled to make the phone look 'sexy' and gives function a second place. If you have a nice 'cover' over the keys, the keys don't have to look so good so can be made more functional. Flip phones of this type don't protect the display and that's a problem. Not sure what you mean by 'triangle' phone. Do you mean 'clamshell' phone, like the one you own, and like the motorola v60's and so on? They look cool, but are much fatter so are harder to put in pocket (my opinion). Also - my pet peeve - take longer to 'answer'. Nothing drives me more insane than when someone has a loud, ringing phone (especially in a restaurant or movie house!). With the clamshells, they all fumble to open the darn thing then answer it, taking several rings to get their act together. The Motorola V60 was especially bad - I could never open it with one hand. With my 6162 flip, I can open the flip with one finger in an instant. The ericsson t28W even has a spring-loaded flap, which flys open (and answers) with a feather touch. The third phone style is more the 'candy bar' style - which most phones are these days. |

The 'matrix' phone had tons of issues with the slide. There was also a bunch of software issues which is why the phone was discontinued.

The 6162 isn't the Matrix phone... It was actually the 8110i, which I don't believe was ever available in the USA. It's actually not even on the Nokia site anymore

Yeah I heard that the slider breaks easily, but you got to admit that phone was baddass though.
