Is this a good deal?? Let me know if this is a good deal offered to me by the retention dept of Sprintpcs

1 yr contract for 2 phones
$60/mo
800 anytime
unlimited n&w
1000 pcs2pcs
3 months vision $10/mo afterwards
$300 phone credit
2yr for 2 phones
$60/mo
1100 anytime
unlimited n&w
unlimited pcs2pcs
3 months vision $10/mo afterwards
$300 phone credit
I have been a very long term customer, 6+ years, and I want to know if this is the best deal I can get. I have recently moved to a dead area for Sprint
and I am sacrificing staying with them. So, I figure if they want to keep me from leaving, I better get a good deal. Otherwise, I would go Verizon
.
Thanks

Is this a good deal?? Those are both good deals especially with the 2 year contract obsiously but if Sprint
PCS just doesn't work where you live now I don't see why you should stay with them no matter how good your plan is. Personally even though Verizon Wireless
is more expensive if they work where you are I would switch to them.

Is this a good deal?? It comes down to this, I use my phone most on the road or away from home, where Sprint
works well for me. Home service would be great. This is where I need to decide how important it really is, and if it is worth paying more or getting less minutes. If retention was not offering me this plan, it would be an easy choice, go Verizon
. But that is not the case, and I have been presented with a pretty good deal. I just wonder if this is the best Sprint
can do, and if I can sacrifice having no service at home.

Is this a good deal?? Update for Oceanside, CA. Sprint
has 4 new micro cells planned. I'll post those locations later today.

Is this a good deal?? Ok here are the approx. locations of where these Oceanside sites will be:
Elaine Ave. & Gold Dr.
Merced Dr. & Wisteria Dr.
Vandegrift Blvd., South of Douglas Dr.
Via Puerta Del Sol, South of Largo Grande Dr.
They were given preliminary approval on 9-18-02. They still need final design approval. There is no way for anyone to predict when these sites will be up and running. It could be anywhere between 3-9 months. There's always the possibilty that community opposition (NIMBY's) will stand in the way. (Look what happened with the Bonsall site at 3419 Vista Way) Range for these sites will only be about 1/2 to 3/4 mile

Is this a good deal?? I called Verizon
and they weren't able to do more than they have offered to the public, Local plan $70/mo for 650 min, 1000pcs2pcs, unlimited n&w. Actually, its a prettty good plan if Sprint
wasn't trying so hard to keep me.
Verizon
tried to appease me with a couple of free hands-free accessories. Its laughable how little they tried to get my business. It shows that they either don't need it that bad or they just don't care. I'd probably guess the first. Good for them, bad for me.
Although a complacent and indifferent company will not survive against the hungry ones. I hope they do, for CDMA and Qualcomm's sake.

Is this a good deal?? By the way I'll be coming down to San Diego this Sunday and will watch for any new Sprint
sites along the 5 near Camp Pendleton. Since I know the planned locations I will able to spot any signs of construction.

Is this a good deal?? That great, although my problem is off the 76 just South of Mission. Its this little pocket that isn't covered well by anyone, and I've tried them all except for Verizon
.

Is this a good deal?? Sprint
blows!!!
The plan they previously offered to me, $60/mo 1100 atm for 2 phones, was notated to my account on October 15. I was instructed to wait until my wife's contract ended on Nov. 24 and do the switch then. I just called to ask a question, and they are claiming that plan is no longer valid and can not honor their previous offer.
They are now offering me nothing for share plans except what the general public is getting.
I have been with them for 6 years. I just moved to a partially covered area and have very spotty reception at home. The only reason I have thought staying was due to the plans they were offering. Now, not only do I feel screwed, but I have to look into another carrier now, probably Verizon
.
I am not giving up and going to continually call back until a get a definitive no. I must say, Sprint
's customer reps are really disappointing. Only about 25% of the time do I get one that is knowledgable. The other 75%, I might as well be banging my head against a wall. They really do not train them well at all, and they have really really low standards for hired employees.
I have ignored this for 6 years, but they really have a pathetic customer service program. Time to look into Verizon
.
