CTL Inc.
Shelton, CT – November 6, 2002: CTL, a world leading provider of unified messaging systems, announced today that it has opened an office in Santa Barbara, California. This office will be focused on selling Wireless Unified Inbox to the wireless carrier and application service provider (ASP) market and sales of PBXLink units to OEM’s.
The new office will solidify CTL’s position as a global market leader and will support the company’s business strategy for sales to the ASP market. A West Coast office will provide technical support coverage across the different time zones and provide better customer service.
“This is a big step in CTL’s strategy to expand our market beyond the traditional voice messaging marketplace,” said Scott Marks, President of CTL. “We are now in a strong position to promote our wireless applications and our unified messaging systems.”
The Santa Barbara office will also sell PBXLink integration solutions to telephone system manufacturers and other voice messaging manufacturers.
About Wireless Unified Inbox
CTL’s VoiceSupport Win2k is a unified messaging system that allows users access to their voice, fax and email using their mobile telephone. Wireless Unified Inbox allows users to interact with their exact same email INBOX that resides in their office. They can reply, forward, save and delete each email message from their mobile phone. All of this is done in real-time; there is no need to synchronize data on the device. It also allows users access to their contact list, calendar and tasks. Wireless Unified Inbox connects corporate email clients and their voice messaging system with their wireless device so users can access their corporate voice, fax and email messages when out of the office. Text-to-speech is available to play emails over the telephone and allow a .wav file voice reply. Desktop Call Control allows PBX extension users to supervise their incoming extension calls from their desktop PC. Wireless Call Control provides the same functionality as Desktop Call Control, except the users control or intercept their incoming extension calls from their mobile phone.
About PBXLink
