I am an owner of a V60i for Verizon Wireless which is a CDMA phone. I hope that that accessory is apllicable for my phone also !

p.s. Just to help you infurther discussion , since there are 3 V60i's you should say yours is the V60gi (implying the GSM verison). Have a nice day!

Default v60i - MP3 Accessory

The MP3 accessory utilizes an SD (I am sure it would recognize an MMC) Card which are available up to 512MB now. This thing sounds AWESOME. However, there seems to be an issue with the compatibility of the player with some of the v60's DEPENDING on what software version is installed on your phone. From what the Motorola website says, my phone (v60i/Qwest Wireless) will not work . I guess my only hope is that there is a software upgrade available through my provider. We'll see I guess.

Does anyone out ther have any more info on this?????

Hope this helps!

Mike

Default v60i - MP3 Accessory

Here is what I found on the Motorola Website......
I wonder.......

Motorola MP3 Player Software Compatibility

The Motorola MP3 Player will only operate with select software versions of our V. Series™ 60c, 120c and Timport™ 270c phones. You must have one of the software versions listed below in order to use this product.
Please verify the software version in your Motorola CDMA phone by performing the following steps:

1. Power your phone on
2. Press the MENU key
3. Scroll down and select SETTINGS
4. Scroll down and select PHONE STATUS
5. Scroll down and select OTHER INFORMATION
6. Scroll down and select S/W VERSION
7. Your screen should display the handset software version.
8. Select MORE if the information does not fit on one screen

If your screen displays any of the following software versions, the MP3 player will work with your current handset:

Bell Mobility - 2100.03.2F
Telus - 2100.03.28.05
Verizon Wireless - 2100.03.28.05 or 2101.03.28.05
Qwest - 2100.1.2F.02
Sprint - 2100.03.1a or 2100.01.34

If your screen does not display one of the above software numbers, it will not work with the MP3 player.

Please check with your cellular provider to see if a software update is available.

Default v60i - MP3 Accessory

i would think that if you phone's software is a newer version than what motorola states on their website then you should be able to use the mp3 player. for instance my verizon v60i says i have software version 2200.01.2B. this should be a newer version that the motorola posted version of 2100.03.28.05 or 2101.03.28.05. so i would assume that since it works on the older version that it would work on the newer version. anyone able to comment on this.
