Default Cell phone affect on printer & sub-woofer?????

I always thought the admonitions against cellphone use in hospitals and on planes were maybe a bit hyper until I noticed that my Motorola i1000plus causes my laser printer to make a fluttering sound and also causes a similar sound in my surround sound sub-woofer. Why does that happen??? I'm sure there are some tech-types here who know exactly why.

Default Cell phone affect on printer & sub-woofer?????

My phones, Nokia tdma and Samsung cdma, cause the cd player in my car to go haywire when call received or disturbance of any nature is detected when they are plugged into ciggie lighter.

I have a 3390 on Cingular GSM and have had all sorts of trouble with speakers with the phone. When the phone is about to ring I typically know in advanced because my speakers begin to have a horrible buzzing sound. I have noted this both in my car and while the phone was sitting next to my desktop speakers. I don't really know the exact technical reasons for it happening. Another thing I noticed, or maybe its just my monitor acting wacky, but my screen seems to flicker a bit when my cell is in use. So you are not alone in this nuisance. I would venture a guess that the frequency of the signal of the phones is what is interfering with our electronic devices.

iDEN phones tend to cause more interference than other phones; CDMA phones, on the other hand, tend to cause very little if any. (There are a number of reasons for this: frequency, modulation, etc.)
