Default Question for Sprint Users in Arizona

    According to Larry:
"Sprinticon is converting Qwest towers in AZ now so there will be improved coverage from this right away.

FCC registration records have been changed to reflect that Sprinticon now owns some former Qwest towers in AZ and in every other state where Qwest operates. Of course many sites are not registered with the FCC so there are likely many more that we don't even know about."

My question to you all is, let us know if and when you notice any improvements in Sprinticon service. I am guessing one of the biggest improvements will come in the form of in-building penetration. I am interested in hearing if anyone notices these!

Same goes with Sprinticon users in Utah; If you could please post improvements. I sometimes test Sprinticon's signal, and have to say I found a few improvements, but there is still a lot that needs to be done here in Northern Utah, especially indoors(just like azcell said for AZ).

I was just in AZ (Phoenix, Glendale, Peoria, Scottsdale) last weekend. I had no trouble with indoor coverage anywhere I went.

I had Sprinticon for 4 years in Phoenix, and really never had any major problems either. I just wonder about those trouble dead spots where people might notice a difference. I know there are many residential houses for example in Scottsdale that have very low signal. I'm hoping some of these are taken care of with the Qwest towers coming online.

I suspect some of the those Qwest towers in Scottsdale might already be on for Sprinticon as I had like 3-4 bars everywhere I went.

Interesting, it very well could be. I have emailed some of my Sprinticon friends in Phoenix to see if they have had similar results. I will post any information I get from them.

I have noticed 5 Qwest sites converted to Sprinticon in Denver. I will admit, one particular site has made a Night & Day difference at work.

At my old house, Qwest had a much better signal than Sprinticon. I think that site was converted too. My personal service has changed dramatically, and yes, the improvement is most noticeable indoors. I couldn't use Sprint at work, now I can.

Sprint has added only a few new sites here in recent years. Adding all these Qwest sites at once has made a significant change in coverage.

According to a friend that I have who is the owner of a Sprinticon reseller:

"Although the process is lengthy, they started it last year.... but you will start to see new improvements in the old Qwest markets..... we have yet to see a large improvement in the AZ area.... but in Denver it was massive."

That's because Denver was the easiest market to convert over. Qwest used the same compatible network equipment as Sprinticon in Denver but in Phoenix they didn't. So it's taken more time in Phoenix but it's happening now.

Not to mention I noticed that Qwest and Denver seemed a bit like Coke and Atlanta while I was in Denver for a conference a few years ago. I am guessing, though I have no proof, that Qwest's Denver network was probably their best.

Yes Matt good guess. Denver was their best effort and I'm sure that Bill Radio would agree.

I concur. You'll find good service from every company near the home office. Nobody complains about Sprinticon coverage in KC, or Verizonicon in NJ... AT&Ticon in Seattle...

We will miss Qwest Wireless as a competive alternative. Their conversion to Sprinticon here seems to have been done with few complaints.

BTW, Qwest is offering some innovative plans. They offer an Unlimited plan where Sprinticon does not.
