Default 13k or EVRC?

I'm on Verizon's network. I tweaked my t720 to 13k vocoder, but I don't notice too much of a difference in call quality. Has anybody else did this?

Default 13k or EVRC?

I do not think it will matter on a network with 1X, I thought it would force EVRC on the phone.

Default 13k or EVRC?

The network can force a specific vocoder regardless of what your phone is set to use.

There really isn't all that much difference between 13k and EVRC (to my ears anyway) -- except that EVRC dampens background noise much better than 13k. (IMO, iDEN's current vocoder -- the one used on the i85s/i90c/etc. -- is best at getting rid of background noise, and GSM's is the worst.)
