On my trip to Phoenix this weekend I discovered a new tower right in the heart of Blythe (near the CA/AZ border) along I-10. Sprint used to rely on a tower that was 3 miles West of the town to cover Blythe and to the state line. But it wasn't quite enough as the signal started to weaken just 1/2 mile East of Blythe. Now the signal is strong all the way to the state line from this tower.

hey larry do you think Sprint will beat Verizon in getting coverage from Blythe to El Centro?? Verizon has a few spots where you roam on Western Wireless, but not too many spots.

By the way in case anyone's interested Sprint also put up another new tower in Banning along I-10. I can't believe how well they've targeted the Inland Empire to make huge improvements.

It's probably due to the growth going on out there, so many people moving out there for more affordable housing.
