Verizon CS in Nor Cal & Nevada no longer 24hrs!!

Just got my Verizon bill today, and this little notice was on it "In an
effort to focus on providing service when you need us the most, customer
service hours of operation will change from 24-hours to 6 am to 11 pm, seven
days a week. 24-hour emergency technical support will still be available.
For 24-hour customer service options, please visit us at
verizonwireless.com and sign up for VZserve"

I couldn't believe it when I read it, after all the complaints about
Cingular not having 24 hour cs, and how Verizon bragged about theirs. I
guess the wireless industry really must be in dire straits, any other
markets doing this?
