Okay... For those of you who are struggling with bad reception... here's something that might help... I've been with Cingular for the past 5 years.. trying all the different phones..hoping it would get better. The result.. the same old one bar or no bar. I have finally reached an end to my frustration. Finally decided to give up the number that I really didn't want to change.. and switched over to Verizon. I just bought the Motorola T720 yesterday. I held the phone while I was driving up to my house which is kinda in the hills.. and believe it or not, I had full reception. I could not believe it. I never imagined that I could have full reception at my house.. never did that ever happen before... We have Nextel and Sprint in the same house and both only get one or two bars which was by far much better than Cingular. So if any of you guys need to switch service and are contemplating which provider to go to.. I would definitely reccommend switching over to Verizon. A few of my friends had either Sprint or Cingular and lived in the foothills above Encino or lived around Hidden Hills in Calabasas and had problems, they moved to Verizon ( well one did go with ATT) and had coverage at their houses and their neighborhood which they did not have before. I tend to recommend to people who live off the beaten path a little or in the foothills to go with Verizon or ATT , most of the time they have better coverage where they live. Not always but most of the time Just my opinion though!! | |

My parents also live near the mountains & were constantly struggling with reception with ATT & Cingular. Since switching to Verizon, they can have full phone calls using their VZW Nokias (5100 series to boot!) in place of landline (which they do on the weekends for LD calls!!). It seems VZW have been able to reach their area better.
